Flax Seed Microwaveable Body Warmers and Cold Packs Pillows are handcrafted and not mass produced or manufactured. Our Body Warmers are made of fleece fabric and the cold packs are cotton fabric and are both double and tripled stitched to keep from coming apart from continued uses. All our products are unscented because many people are allergic to various smells. Our products have many uses and you are entitled knowing our product is of the best quality and workmanship.
Moist Heat/Heat Pad
Body Warmers heated by the microwave provide moist heat to relieve backaches, muscle tension, a neck comforter, and help with deep aches and pains. The warm steam from the seeds provides gentle heat in promoting healing after surgery, loosen chest congestion and help draw out sinus infection, have a calming effect on hyperactivity, improve circulation, and in therapy. As a Heating Pad, it helps with arthritis, backaches, bursitis, carpal tunnel, earache, fibromyalgla, menstrual cramps, migraines, muscle pain, sinus pressure, sports injuries, stress, and TMJ. The Body Warmer retains heat for nearly an hour.
Cold Pack
To make into a Cold Pack, encase the cotton cold pack in a plastic bag (so it doesn't pick up the freezer smell) and place in the freezer container or double plastic for 3 to 4 hours. Cold Packs cool a sunburn, a fever, hot flashes or inflammation, good for arthritis, sinus headaches, pain relief from pulled muscles, sprains, bumps and bruises, and swelling.
Use and Care Instructions
Flax Seed Body Warmers and Cold Packs are not washable as the seeds will get wet, swell and make slimy losing the ability to retain heat. To clean the fabric wipe with a damp cloth, lay flat and let air dry. Don't use commercial spot removers. Try not to overheat the body warmer as they will toast and destroy the seed which holds in the oil minimizing heat retention. Suggested microwave timing is from 1 1/2 to 2 minutes for smaller size warmers and 2 1/2 minutes for the larger one. See: Heating Directions for each size Body Warmer Allow the body warmer to cool down between each use. Use common sense. The warmers will get hot, just like a heating pad and might be warmer than you like. Consider cutting the heating time if it gets too hot for you. Overheating may also cause burns to the skin.
Important message!
Care must be taken when there is a sensory deficit problem.
Some people can't feel heat as well as others do, especially those with diabetes. When heating the Body Warmer for someone else, make sure it isn't too hot for them and that they can remove it if there is a problem. Our Body Warmers are great for those who have poor circulation who are always cold.
